FAQ

Q: How do I place an order?
A: To place an order, please fill out this order form. If you send an email to laciethecookiecutter@gmail.com or DM me on Facebook or Instagram, I will direct you to this site’s order form. Please be as specific with the details of your desired cookies so that I can give you an accurate estimate of cost.

Q: How much do your cookies cost?
A: Please refer to the Pricing tab! Prices vary based on how detailed and/or elaborate your order is. However, please don’t hesitate to reach out as I can create something amazing for you on any budget.

Q: How much notice do I need to give you for my order?
A: The sooner the better! I work a full-time job, so I can only take so many orders in one week. To secure your spot, please contact me as soon as you set the date of your event, two weeks out at minimum. If I have availability to take your order less than two weeks in advance, I do add a 20% rush fee to the overall price of your order.

Q: Can I place an order if I don’t know my theme yet?
A: Of course! If you want your date held on my calendar, I will charge you a $30 nonrefundable retainer fee. Once you have chosen a theme, the remainder of your balance will be due when invoiced.

Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: I am able to refund your order if you cancel at least two weeks prior to your event date. If your cookies have already been made, I am unable to refund you.

Q: When is payment due?
A: Full payment for your order is due within 48 hours of being invoiced. Your spot within my calendar will go to another client if you do not pay for your order.

Q: Do you offer bulk discounts?
A: No, because the larger the order the more time, dough and materials required. I am a one woman show running a bakery in a 900 square foot apartment. The amount of time and thought that goes into every single cookie is precious. I take pride in what I do and I realize some may think these prices are steep, but I know that they are worth it (and you will too!). If you have any issues with the pricing of your order, please let me know so that we can work something out together. I know that every event is special, so I will work to accommodate you and your vision.

Q: Can you ship cookies?
A: No, it is against the Alabama Food Cottage Law.

Q: Do you deliver?
A: If you live within the area, I am happy to meet you somewhere to deliver your cookies at no charge. However, because my schedule is tight, I only have a few opportunities to do this within a week. Otherwise, you will have to pick your order up in the time frame I give you. If you’re ordering from Pensacola/Orange Beach/Fort Walton (etc.), and I am able to deliver to you, I will add a delivery fee depending on distance. Please specify delivery instructions when filling out your order form.

Q: How do I store my cookies?
A: Every cookie comes individually wrapped in a heat sealed cellophane bag. If you take them out of their bags, keep them in an airtight container. There is no need to refrigerate the cookies, it will often hurt the texture or icing if condensation effects them during refrigeration. Do not leave cookies in a hot or humid area (i.e. car, outdoors) because the icing will melt. For best keep, store cookies in a dry, cool area like a pantry or on a countertop out of the sun. My sugar cookies will stay fresh in their bags for up to two weeks, but are best enjoyed within 7 days. The cookies can also be frozen to enjoy later! Very carefully place cookies in an airtight container or ziplock bag and put in the freezer for up to 6 months. To thaw cookies, remove from freezer, but do NOT open the ziplock bag or container for at least two hours to prevent condensation.
